Pingyuan Castle is located in the north of Tianzhen County, under the jurisdiction of xinpingbao town.

In the 25th year of Jiajing (1546) of the Ming Dynasty, it was built with earth and in the 6th year of Longqing (1572) it was built with bricks. The perimeter of the castle was 1400 meters and the height was 11.66 meters. It opened the West and South gates of the castle and was garrisoned here in the Ming Dynasty. In charge of the great wall 12 Li, side pier 20, fire road pier 13. During the Jiajing period, Mongolian soldiers invaded Xuanfu, chaigoupu and other places. Baozi is in the shape of "convex". The gate of the fort is traceless, the brick of the fort is demolished year by year, and the wall collapses. There are only ruins.

Pingyuanbao Great Wall enters Tianzhen, Shanxi Province from Huai'an, Hebei Province, and is adjacent to Xinhe County, Inner Mongolia, across the Great Wall in the north. Now there are more than 300 families and more than 1000 people in the fort, and the main crops are corn, millet and millet.

Xinping Castle is located 26.5km northeast of Tianzhen County, under the jurisdiction of xinpingbao town. It borders Hebei in the East, Inner Mongolia in the West and North, and is 1km away from the Great Wall in the West.

Ming Jiajing 25 years (1546) earth building, Longqing 6 years (1572) package brick. There are Zhenlu gate in the north gate and Yingen gate in the east gate. There is a tower above the north gate and an urn outside. The castle is 1300 meters in circumference and 11.66 meters in height. There are six East-West lanes and eight north-south lanes in the castle. Yuhuangge was built in the middle of the castle in 1593, and its bottom leads to four main streets. It was rebuilt in 1688, 1782 and 1882. Yuhuangge is the only architectural remains of Ming Dynasty in Xinping castle.

In the north of dongdajie Road, there is the general's residence, which was built in the 27th year of Jiajing (1548); in the north of Xidajie Road, there is the garrison yamen, which was built in the 20th year of Jiajing (1541); in the East Lane of nanjiejie Road, there is the general's Ma Fang mansion, which has a screen wall inside the gate.

Baoping Castle is located at the foot of the Great Wall in the north of Tianzhen County, under the jurisdiction of xinpingbao town. Ming Jiajing 25 years (1546) earth building, Longqing 6 years (1572) brick package. The castle is 850 meters in circumference and 11 meters in height. It has an east gate. The stone inscription "Zhenyun" above the gate is 1 km away from the Great Wall in the West. In the 37th year of Jiajing period (1558), this fort was broken by the Mongolian army, and thus invaded the Central Plains. Baoping fort is the pass of Datong town on the great wall and the outpost of Xinping fort. Looking to the West from the bottom of Zhonggao enclosure, beacon towers are mottled with vicissitudes, and the Great Wall twists and turns on the high mountains. It is 1255 meters above sea level and covers an area of 41 mu. At that time, it was one of the garrison fortresses directly under Xinping road of Datong town. There were 1 garrison officer and 1 garrison officer stationed in the garrison and 1 garrison officer stationed in the garrison. The garrison was more than 7 li away from the Great Wall, with 18 side piers and 11 fire road piers. Baoping fort was still inhabited before 1990. Now all the villagers in the fort have moved, and the fort is empty and deserted.

Huamen Castle is located in the north of Tianzhen County, under the jurisdiction of xinpingbao town.

Ming Wanli nine years (1581) earth building, Wanli nineteen years (1591) package brick. The perimeter of the castle is less than 1 li. Open the south gate. The urn is 9 meters wide and 6 meters high. There are 297 soldiers in charge of the Great Wall, 18 side piers and 3 fire road piers. The castle is located on the top of the mountain at an altitude of 1736 meters. Dengpu gradually has the feeling of Potala Palace or Machu Picchu.

According to Dong Yaohui's "textual research on the great wall of Ming Dynasty", the wall of Huamen fort is rammed earth, wrapped with green bricks, and the wall base is made of stone. Although the castle was destroyed by nature and man-made, it is still better than other castles. There are residual bricks around it.

Due to the remote terrain, despite more than 400 years of wind and rain, although a large area of brick collapse, there are still some Fort doors and part of the wall brick is still in use. Uninhabited, overgrown with weeds, I feel desolate and vicissitudes.
